I don't get Threads.

I don't get why it's popular.

I don't know why it exists.

@ernie fb is good and easy for small biz - to an extent - you have to build a wall and have better links elsewhere, fb will consume you if you are not careful? possibly, they are sort of open source ai voice but even that is pretty compromised #spiderfoot without the api calls

@ernie we know why it exists: FB wanted to take Twit users who wanted to leave but were too confused by Mastodon.

I don't think they've succeeded, but Musk could always do something to make Twit even worse.

@kkeller @ernie They're on their way to becoming the top Fedi instance and that's going to succeed the way it's going.

Once the Twit name fully goes away, they're going to be the most beneficial and I hate to say that.

@ernie I like it better here. I just need more of my social net to either come here or enable Fediverse sharing there

@ernie I dunno how popular it is, but it’s “easy” and because of the Instagram link they have a huge density of users.
On the other hand the interface is garbage, the interactions are routinely musk Twitter/FB level terrible.
Gripping hand, I’m glad I can follow folks on there from here, but otherwise I share your bemusement.
