This would be remote, contract-based work for now, with a chance to go full-time later in the year (assuming all continues going well). You'd be creating free / open source software.
Here are the full details on our open developer position:
We're looking for #Go developers, but welcome anyone with similar web development skills to apply! There's plenty to be done around #WriteFreely, and lots of opportunity to learn Go, if you're interested.
@laraby - of any interest to you..?
@matt thanks for thinking of me. Never used Go however, and no real time to contribute at the moment
@write_as well, I do write Go, and I'm an unemployed student :) ETA for some details?
@gsora Great! Should be within the next day or so -- I'll ping you when I have those!
@gsora Just posted all the details and how to apply here: https://discuss.write.as/t/open-position-web-developer/565
@josealberto4444 Thanks for notifying! I'll take a look :)
@noelle Awesome! Thanks for sending that. This would be a great chance to learn -- and we might have uses for your Python and PHP skills, in building things like client libraries. I'll reach out soon with the details!
@noelle Here's everything! https://discuss.write.as/t/open-position-web-developer/565
Let me know if you have any questions.
@write_as got it, and application submitted! Thank you!
@write_as ohh, this is so nice! Good luck!
@maloki Thank you! 😊
If you need a tech writer, or project manager, let me know.
@FASA_Andrew_1879 Will do. What kind of tech writing do you do?
I've done SOPs for command centers, user documentation for web sites, code documentation for telephone systems, procedures for medical software, and I'm currently the lead writer for a role-playing game. Writing samples on request.
@FASA_Andrew_1879 Great to know! We're a very small team and our biggest needs are really in development at the moment, but I'll keep you in mind for the future.
