V'gerNutzt hier zufällig noch jemand WhatsApp mit IodeOS? In meiner Verwandtschaft macht sich mittlerweile MetaAI in WhatsApp breit und ich habs bis heute nicht, trotz aktueller Version. But I'm thrilled. Everything is running. I had to set up a <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/ntfy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ntfy</a> server (hello <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/uberspace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#uberspace</a>) so <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/moshidon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#moshidon</a> (<a href="https://chaos.social/tags/fdroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#fdroid</a>) pushes, but that's not bad. I know there are even freer <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/androids" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#androids</a> out there, but for me it's a mix of privacy, simplicity and a whole lot of good feeling. Also important: it has to run on the <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/fairphone5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#fairphone5</a>, because I specifically bought it for sustainability.

This device now was set up with <a href="https://augsburg.social/tags/grapheneos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#grapheneos</a> following the hints on <a href="https://augsburg.social/tags/kuketzblog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#kuketzblog</a>. I have set up a private profile with Google play and Banking etc. in it. Banking app working or not varies, so you will have to try. Its less comfortable than stock android/iOS, but worth the effort! I'll stick to graphene. My son stays on iode ;-)

It's OK except location not working. I don't know why. Don't know yet, but I'll dig in to it after work. I think I have to install <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/stockrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#stockrom</a> first and go from there. It might be and security patch problem. Easiest would be get Location working with iode, but this seems to be weird problem that no one else is having. Interesting but frustrating

Now that I have my <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/degoogled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#degoogled</a> phone fully operational, and all together managing to remove from Google, it's scary how depended I've become of their system, I have energy to start to waste my time on social networks again. I did move from <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/iod%C3%A9OS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#iodéOS</a> to <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/e" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#e</a>/os and <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/murena" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#murena</a> there's not really any big difference, but for reason unknown to me, and to anyone I asked, the battery life was really bad with iode and I didn't find any fix.So E/os it's now on. And I have been very happy with this.Transition from Google has been big, as said I've been using Google stuff alit. And "surprisingly" google doesn't support that transition well.

After I realised how to do the installation, there was, to me one missing part in the iodes own manual. But after that, it was really easy. Battery drain is high do.. But maybe it's just something that need little tinkering if I don't find any solution, then I'll probably jump to e/os since I need more battery than I currently have.. It's like half of <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/fairphone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#fairphone</a> original os gives.But it feels good to have <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/degoogled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#degoogled</a> phone..
