Das ging ja gar nicht(!):</p><p>- am Aufnahmetag, gestern also, sollte ein <a href="https://slowblog.eu/search?tag=MRT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MRT</span></a> gemacht werden. Das gab es nicht, stattdessen ein CT. Begründung war: "Sie haben ja einen Defi/ICD implantiert, der ist nicht MRT-tauglich." Auf meine Anmerkung hin: "Doch, den hat Ihr Krankenhaus doch sogar selbst eingesetzt, also müssten Sie das in meiner Patientenakte auch sehen können. Außerdem habe ich schon diverse MRT-Serien (in anderen Kliniken) problemlos machen lassen können."</p><p>Darauf bekam ich tatsächlich die Antwort: "Ja, wissen Sie, das geht auch gar nicht um Sie. Unsere Radiologie muss sicher sein, dass UNSER MRT-Gerät nicht kaputtgeht.</p><p>Okay, nachdem ich etwas ungehaltener reagiert habe, ging es auf einmal doch, aber nur beinahe: "Leider ist der Termin nun weg, müssen wir morgen früh machen." Morgen früh... wäre aber eigentlich der <a href="https://slowblog.eu/search?tag=Operationstermin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Operationstermin</span></a> für die <a href="https://slowblog.eu/search?tag=Halswirbels%C3%A4ule" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Halswirbelsäule</span></a> gewesen...</p><p>- abends dann: Sie wollten mir verbieten, die eigenen Medikamente zu nehmen (ja, genau die, dich ich selbst hatte mitbringen sollte, wie mir die Ärztin selbst mehrmals sagte). So sollte ich <a href="https://slowblog.eu/search?tag=Metoprolol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Metoprolol</span></a> anstelle von <a href="https://slowblog.eu/search?tag=Bisoprolol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bisoprolol</span></a> nehmen. Metoprolol vertrag ich aber nicht, dosisunabhängig ist Blutdruckabfall vorprogrammiert, abgesehen davon rutscht mein Puls so schon ab und zu auf knapp über 40/Minute... Meinen aktuellen Medikamentenplan hatte ich übrigens mehrfach in den letzten Wochen abgegeben, stattdessen sollte ich nun all das schon vor Jahren aus gutem Grund abgesetzte Zeug wieder nehmen. Naja... :smile:</p><p>Also hab ich gesagt, sie sollen mir gefälligst die Ärztin herbeischaffen. Die kam dann auch gleich mit der nächsten frohen Botschaft:</p><p>"Leider ist der OP-Termin für morgemn früh weg. Sie wissen ja, als "Vollversorger" hat man Notfälle und so. Kommen Sie doch nächsten Montag wieder, aber vorher müssen Sie dann auch noch *SONNTAG* zur Blutabnahme kommen. Die Werte dürfen ja nicht älter als 24h sein."</p><p>- heute Morgen dann: Bei der Arztvisite fragten die mich tatsächlich, wie es mir denn so ginge mit meinen "Halsschmerzen". Und ob ich Schluckbeschwerden hätte, oder "sonstige Missempfindungen".</p><p>Hallo? Seit über drei Monaten nun Gelaber für Termine, OP-Planung, Blutverdünner ja/nein und so weiter, und so fort, aber doch wegen des gequetschten Rückenmarks und anderer neurologischer Problemchen und nicht für eine Erkältung. Und die kommen mir in der Neurochirurgie damit, mich nach (angeblichen) Halsschmerzen zu fragen? :wink:</p><p>Nachdem man auch nicht sagen wollte, das da was durcheinandergeraen war, hab ich also die Notbremse gezogen und den ganzen Kram abgebrochen. Anfang Dezember habe ich ohnehin einen Termin bei meinem Neurologen, da lass ich mich von ihm beraten, wie weit die nächste Klinik, die sowas kann, entfernt ist. Dann hole ich mir dort einen Termin.</p><p>Erstmal also alles gut. Oder besser: Wie vorher.</p><p><br>--- english ---<br>So, after checking myself out of the hospital this morning after just one night, I’m back online. What an experience!</p><p>* On the day of admission (yesterday) they were supposed to do an MRI. Instead, they went with a CT scan. Reason: "You have a defibrillator/ICD implant, which isn’t MRI-compatible." Actually, yes, it is! In fact, this(!) hospital implanted it, so they should be able to see that in my medical records. Plus, I've already had several MRIs done without any issue in other clinics."</p><p>The response I got? "Well, you see, it’s not really about you. Our radiology department needs to be sure OUR MRI machine doesn’t get damaged.”</p><p>* Later that evening, they tried to stop me from taking my own medications (yes, the same ones I was specifically told to bring with me, as the doctor had mentioned multiple times). They wanted to substitute Metoprolol for my usual Bisoprolol. But Metoprolol doesn’t agree with me at all - my blood pressure drops no matter the dose, and my pulse occasionally goes down to barely above 40 beats per minute. I’d submitted my current medication plan several times over the past few weeks, yet here I was being told to take stuff that had been discontinued long ago for a reason. Not really ideal.</p><p>So I insisted they bring the doctor to me. She arrived with more "good" news:</p><p>"Unfortunately, tomorrow’s surgery time is no longer available. You know, as a 'full care facility,' we have emergencies. You could come back next Monday, but you’ll need to come in Sunday for a blood draw first. The results need to be no older than 24 hours."</p><p>Then, this morning, during the doctor’s rounds, they actually asked how my “sore throat” was feeling. And if I had difficulty swallowing or any "other discomforts." 🤣</p><p>Really?! Over three months of discussions, planning surgeries, adjusting blood thinners, and all the rest of it - and this was all for my compressed spinal cord and other neurological issues, not a sore throat! And here they are in neurosurgery asking me about supposed throat pain? 🙄 😁</p><p>Since nobody would admit something had clearly gone wrong with my case, I decided to pull the plug and cancel the whole thing.</p><p>So for now, everything’s … fine.
