MikeFSome more saltmarsh creatures, yesterday. MNSA, NY. - Short-billed Dowitcher - Fledgeling Red-winged Blackbird calling mom for a snack - Mom providing junior with the snack - A zabulon Skipper butterfly. I'm not sure if the spherical objects on the butterfly's head and thorax are parasitoid eggs or pollen grains. They look a bit large for pollen, but I could be wrong.
