Sounds VeganHi! My name is Anne, and I'm (relatively) new here! 👋<br> <br> All right, ok. I'm starting this with a picture of me and my dog. Maybe I should introduce the both of us first: Vally is a rescue from Hungary who decided to share her time and love with me a year and a few months ago—we've shared every minute and every bite of food since that day and I am very happy she found me. 🐕♥️<br> <br> I am a freelance copywriter and the owner of the vegan music magazine SoundsVegan.com. I'm based in Hamburg. OK, right now I live in Hamburg, but I'm planning on moving this year. Clumsy transition—this brings me to the reason why I'm here: I'm also currently moving away from all the big and saddening platforms. What was FB for me has moved to substack, my former Twitter moved to Mastodon (<a href="https://veganism.social/@soundsvegan" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://veganism.social/@soundsvegan</a>), some of the stuff I used to post across all platforms moved to Bluesky, and now I have started moving my IG to Pixelfed. I'm not sure where or how far this will bring me, but I'm very thankful for this beautiful way of sharing my pictures and thoughts with people from all over the planet. Let's be honest: We all wanted to cut the crap with ads and stuff a long time ago. This decentralized way of posting pictures, like in the early days of IG when it wasn't just a piece of this big nasty octopus that collects our data, feeding it to people who use it to do the weirdest things with it. Just go with the flow and find out who finds me here. If you want to know more about me and my magazine, feel free to reach out to soundsvegan.com.<br> <br> Welcome to my Pixelfed! Looking forward to connecting with you!<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/SoundsVegan?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SoundsVegan</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/pixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#pixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/introduction?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#introduction</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/music?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#music</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MusicMagazine?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MusicMagazine</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/zine?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#zine</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/vegan?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#vegan</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/VeganForLife?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VeganForLife</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/LoveMusic?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LoveMusic</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MusicLover?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MusicLover</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MusicBlog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MusicBlog</a>

Anne Reis | SoundsVegan.com<p>Thrash metal and veganism are the two worlds Geoff Waye combines with his project Triskelyon. Among other things, his songs deal with the hypocrisy that drives people to continue eating meat and the blatant injustice in the industry's treatment of animals.</p><p>The latest Triskelyon album, “Shattered Elysium”, was released in September 2024, and Geoff is already working on the next one. </p><p><a href="https://soundsvegan.com/2024/12/moehrenkuchen-vegan/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">soundsvegan.com/2024/12/moehre</span><span class="invisible">nkuchen-vegan/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://veganism.social/tags/SoundsVegan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoundsVegan</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/vegan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vegan</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/backen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>backen</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/VeganBacken" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VeganBacken</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/kuchen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>kuchen</span></a></p>
Anne Reis | SoundsVegan.com<p>One of my biggest achievements on Sounds Vegan so far was the interview I did with <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/Moby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Moby</span></a> this summer. Since I moved from one instance to another today, I am sharing it with you again. I published it in English and German.</p><p>Here is what I wrote when I just shared it on Mastodon:</p><p>"If you don’t want animals to suffer, you have to stop supporting the industries that cause animal suffering." 🐄🐈</p><p>That’s what Moby said to me in our interview some days ago. That sounds incredibly logical. But why is it so hard for most people to live by their beliefs when it comes to animals? Among other things, we talked about why so many people are against animal suffering and continue to eat meat, dairy, and eggs on a daily basis. The artist also shared some exciting insights into his life and career with me and revealed details about his upcoming tour through Germany.</p><p>He will donate 100 per cent of his proceeds for the shows to animal rights organizations. He said:</p><p>"The only reason for me to go on tour is the fact that I can donate 100 per cent of the proceeds."</p><p>Moby has always been an icon for me. He had a significant influence on me—both in terms of music and vegan activism. In his eyes, activism always needs to involve self-care:</p><p>"You should be able to imagine doing this for the rest of your life."</p><p>Moby wants to dedicate every second of his life to animals. He loves to recharge his batteries in his backyard—enjoying the peace of nature, playing his acoustic guitar, and eating vegan pizza.</p><p>With my Moby interview, I’ve published one of the biggest highlights on Sounds Vegan today. I’m delighted and proud to share it with you. Please take the time to read it. It’s for vegans and anyone interested, music fans, and anyone who likes to get to know new perspectives occasionally. Please enjoy!</p><p><a href="https://soundsvegan.com/2024/06/moby-interview-en/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">soundsvegan.com/2024/06/moby-i</span><span class="invisible">nterview-en/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://veganism.social/tags/SoundsVegan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoundsVegan</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/interview" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>interview</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/moby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>moby</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/AnimalRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnimalRights</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/veganism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>veganism</span></a> <a href="https://veganism.social/tags/vegan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vegan</span></a></p>
