Maybe I should introduce the both of us first: Vally is a rescue from Hungary who decided to share her time and love with me a year and a few months ago—we've shared every minute and every bite of food since that day and I am very happy she found me. 🐕♥️ I am a freelance copywriter and the owner of the vegan music magazine SoundsVegan.com. I'm based in Hamburg. OK, right now I live in Hamburg, but I'm planning on moving this year. Clumsy transition—this brings me to the reason why I'm here: I'm also currently moving away from all the big and saddening platforms. What was FB for me has moved to substack, my former Twitter moved to Mastodon (<a href="https://veganism.social/@soundsvegan" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://veganism.social/@soundsvegan</a>), some of the stuff I used to post across all platforms moved to Bluesky, and now I have started moving my IG to Pixelfed. I'm not sure where or how far this will bring me, but I'm very thankful for this beautiful way of sharing my pictures and thoughts with people from all over the planet. Let's be honest: We all wanted to cut the crap with ads and stuff a long time ago. This decentralized way of posting pictures, like in the early days of IG when it wasn't just a piece of this big nasty octopus that collects our data, feeding it to people who use it to do the weirdest things with it. That sounds incredibly logical. But why is it so hard for most people to live by their beliefs when it comes to animals? Among other things, we talked about why so many people are against animal suffering and continue to eat meat, dairy, and eggs on a daily basis. The artist also shared some exciting insights into his life and career with me and revealed details about his upcoming tour through Germany.He will donate 100 per cent of his proceeds for the shows to animal rights organizations. He said:"The only reason for me to go on tour is the fact that I can donate 100 per cent of the proceeds."Moby has always been an icon for me. He had a significant influence on me—both in terms of music and vegan activism. In his eyes, activism always needs to involve self-care:"You should be able to imagine doing this for the rest of your life."Moby wants to dedicate every second of his life to animals.
