sgt1372<p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jazz</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MosaicRecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MosaicRecords</span></a> </p><p>Mosaic Records (the premier re-issuer of old jazz classic sets) is now accepting pre-orders for a new 11 CD set of V-Disc (V for Victory) recordings produced between 1942-1949 for the US military. </p><p>Since the US govt ordered that all of the masters &amp; stampers be destroyed at the end of the program, Mosaic re-mastered the recordings from available 78s (&amp; in some cases from masters that were saved from destruction).</p><p>I just ordered it &amp; haven't heard all of it yet but clips from the set are provided in the link below.
