50+ Music<p>"Superstition" is a song by American singer-songwriter <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/StevieWonder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StevieWonder</span></a>. It was released on October 24, 1972, as the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/leadSingle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>leadSingle</span></a> from his fifteenth studio album, <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/TalkingBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TalkingBook</span></a> (1972), by <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Tamla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tamla</span></a>. The lyrics describe popular <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/superstitions" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>superstitions</span></a> and their negative effects. <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Superstition" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Superstition</span></a> reached number one in the U.S. <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Billboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Billboard</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Hot100" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hot100</span></a> in January 1973 and on the soul singles chart. If you were looking for an argument about planetary impact by book format, that's down the hall and on your left.</p><p>If this isn't the answer you were looking for, you can go about your business. Move along, move along.</p><p>I was born with <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/cataracts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cataracts</span></a> and I grew up with the <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/TalkingBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TalkingBook</span></a> program through the American Printing House ... as an adult, I was kicked off of government assistance due to my sight measuring at 20/50 (this was an error; see below. I live in <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Texas" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Texas</span></a> and ...). The error is, in restoring my sight to low-end normal, they cleaned out the innards of my eyes. I have no organic lenses and no support structures that could accommodate implants. All the ability to focus is in my eyeglasses. It's like having a telescope that you can't adjust - I have "distance" vision at the top and "reading" in the bifocal insert. And they're a special type of lens that even my workplace's vision plan does not cover. So yes, I technically see 20/50, but only what I'm directly looking at. To look at anything, I have to turn my entire head.</p>
