cyIf you are very <a href="https://fedicy.us.to?t=lonely" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#lonely</a>, it's probably not your fault. Maybe were raised without any guidance or socialization, warned away from being bad or going outside of the expectations of your parents. Maybe everyone else is being antisocial, avoiding others out of some misbegotten assumptions about safety or politeness, and you just can't break through the walls they've put up. Maybe you don't have neighbors who go outside, only travelling in their cars. Maybe they get shuffled around by landlords eager to stop you from organizing your community. Maybe you're hooked on television, or the TV that they've transformed the Internet into. Maybe you're scared about big global conflicts and it's hard to function feeling so helpless and under attack. None of that is your doing. You don't need to sort yourself out, for many, many causes of loneliness. You know what you want: good friends and even lovers who don't attack you with their demands and let you relax around them. A lot of things would make you perfectly happy, as long as it means having close friends around you, and maybe even one day children, so deciding how to do that isn't important, so much as having an opportunity to do it. Hang in there. We're trying to fix this. If you're in your 20's it's not too late, and the rest of us can still fight to undo the machinations of those friendship hating business freaks.

Rob 🏳️‍🌈 RMiddleton.Art3/ multiple ways of being. Of course this makes sense but knowing something & feeling/believing/living it are very different. My style of trying to get close to people has usually been to share something slightly vulnerable & see if it's reciprocated. Most often there's no reciprocity & I clam up, give up, move on. Things are so bad & im so spiritually <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/lonely" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#lonely</a> that I have now decided to overshare anyway. She's my sister, she seems to be taking it in even if it's not her style to reciprocate.
