mgeriqueDon't use a magnifying glass with your smartphone, put reading glasses on it so it can focus up close. Instead of using a macro lens I add a lens taken from a pair of binoculars held in place with a rubber band. The shallow depth of field achieves very different results than the iPhone's native macro mode. But they have a tendency to come back to perch on the same branches or flowers and like most predators are curious.
