I am not interested in these new ones from Apple as we have many equally powerful &amp; portable mini PC choices (Asus NUC, Thinkcentre etc).</p>

Daniel<p>Alright, today I am going to test out my Arch Linux installation on my MacBook Pro 16,1 in production aka. during work.</p><p><a href="https://imd.social/tags/arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arch</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/macbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macbook</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/16inch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>16inch</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/t2linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>t2linux</span></a></p>
Daniel<p>Small update on my arch linux on MacBook experiment:</p><p>Right now, I am running Gnome on Wayland and except of Wi-Fi (did not configure it on install properly like in the t2linux guides, need to do this later) and the internal keyboard during the LUKS password prompt everything seems to be working quiet fine.<br>Even my multimonitor setup with one directly connected DisplayPort-Monitor and another HDMI Monitor over an USB-C hub worked out of the box!</p><p><a href="https://imd.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/macbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macbook</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/t2linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>t2linux</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/progress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>progress</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/update" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>update</span></a></p>
Daniel<p>Alright, today I am going to start a little adventure and try to install Arch Linux onto a MacBook Pro 16 inch from 2019.</p><p>There is a project for that called t2linux which aims to provide guides and helpers for doing these kinds of installations:</p><p><a href="https://wiki.t2linux.org/distributions/arch/installation/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">wiki.t2linux.org/distributions</span><span class="invisible">/arch/installation/</span></a></p><p>Let's see how far I will get :D</p><p><a href="https://imd.social/tags/arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arch</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/macbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macbook</span></a> <a href="https://imd.social/tags/t2linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>t2linux</span></a></p>
