Andy D :androidHead:<p>A two’fer today to play catchup, so next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is State Champs acoustic recordings of their first record entitled record called The Acoustic Things! It’s nice to hear the singer’s voice with less processing and just an overall simpler tone on this one. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/emo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emo</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/acoustic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>acoustic</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> back to S albums with State Champs first record called The Finer Things! I like all of their albums but this is for sure where I got into them. Tracks like Elevated, Hard to Please and Remedy are so good! Also a picture disc but not a sleeve worth showing. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/emo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emo</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>To catch up, I’m going to post twice today. Next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is a quick segue back to L with LS Dunes’ newest album Violet that I got recently. The band is comprised of members of Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, Thursday and the singer from Saison, Circa Survive and The Sound of Animals Fighting. You can hear influences of all the bands but the album’s sound still stands on its own. This sophomore effort really shows their talent! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/emo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emo</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/posthardcore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>posthardcore</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/PunkRock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PunkRock</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Man I’ve been so lazy these days… Next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Star Wars The Mandalorian season 2. This season was different with monster of the week style episodes of I recall correctly and still enjoyable. Enjoyed getting some new tasty tracks from Mr. Göransson though. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/originalsoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>originalsoundtrack</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/starwars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>starwars</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/themandalorian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>themandalorian</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/ludwiggoransson" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ludwiggoransson</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Star Wars The force awakens. I don’t own many pictures discs as I’ve heard it can impact sound quality but these were too cool to pass up. Williams is my favorite composer and I really enjoyed where he took the soundtrack on this one. I’m a fan of all Star Wars and saw this movie like 7 times in theaters. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/originalsoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>originalsoundtrack</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Hey folks did you miss me? I went in vacation and was on call at work, so I’ve been busy! Next up for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Star Wars The Mandalorian season 1. This show was wonderful and so was Ludwig Göransson’s score. It was so different, yet still Star Wars appropriate! I usually avoid picture discs out of sound quality concerns but I couldn’t pass these up. I also picked up an acrylic slip mat to try. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/originalsoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>originalsoundtrack</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Back to the normal flow in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with Star Wars Original Soundtrack (1977). I am a huge fan of Star Wars, all of it, no toxicity here! Had to grab this when I found it a free years ago. It’s weird that the LP sides are 1/4 and 2/3. Still, sounds pretty good and Williams is my favorite composer <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/originalsoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>originalsoundtrack</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Detour part 3, the final turn, in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with This Place Will Become Your Tomb by Sleep Token. I can’t quite put my finger on what I like about them other than they are different than everything else to me. They go from quiet to dancy to hard and heavy back to soft all within one song. This album might be my favorite of theirs and I can’t pick one track that I like the most. Give it a listen! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/rock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rock</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/metal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>metal</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Detour part 2 in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with Cowboy Bebop Songs for the Cosmic Sofa. This overlaps a bit with my two other Bebop related albums but features a really nice stripped down version of The Real Folk Blues. Very raw and heartfelt singing by Mai Yamane on this one. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/anime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anime</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/soundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>soundtrack</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Up next in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Star Trek the a Motion Picture Directors Edition! This movie has one of the longest “check out my new starship” montages in the whole series but after that moment it’s a great movie. The theme should need recognizable to most folks and the score overall is great. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/moviesoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>moviesoundtrack</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Up next in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is The Starting Line with their major release Say It Like You Mean It. This is one of my all time favorite records from top to bottom! I had a blast seeing them recently live with other good groups. It’s hard to find a track you don’t like on this one. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>S up next in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Spitalfield with Better Than Knowing Where You Are. This is the last one I’ve got but I hear they are working on some new material! I’m a big fan of the title track as well as The Only Thing A Matters. Secret In Mirrors is also a fun one! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/localbands" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>localbands</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>S up next in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Spitalfield with Remember Right Now. This is my most favorite local band from the pop punk scene here. I was lucky to play a show with their front person Mark who was such a nice person and I’ve known his younger brother since college. Those Days You Felt Alive was a summer anthem for me at the start of college and is still a fun listen years later. I was lucky they repressed this one last year! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/localbands" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>localbands</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Short on Rs so here’s the start of S in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with Sleep Token’s third release Take Me Back To Eden. I got really into them this year with their non-definable genre music. Folks say it’s metal but it’s so much more and even their singer Vessel says that genres do not matter. Listen to The Summoning and are there is metal but there are also blues and funk and psych and pop all mixed in. DYWTYLM and Euclid are two of my favorites on this press. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/whatgenreisit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>whatgenreisit</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/rock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rock</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/metal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>metal</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Onwards to R in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with Rufio’s initial record Perhaps, I Suppose. This record was quite overplayed when I was in high school. Always loved the faster feel of their songs, especially in the drumming and interesting almost lead guitar melodies on the bass. So many fun songs on this one but I’m especially fond of Still, Just a Memory, One Slowdance, and Road to Recovery (honestly those were hard to pick lol). <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/poppunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>poppunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Last P <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> the last Pierce the Veil I own with Misadventures. I really enjoyed this one as I wasn’t ready for them to change much like they did on their most recent album, which I haven’t opted to purchase just yet until it grows on me. Really enjoyed songs like The Divine Zero, Circles, Phantom Power and Ludicrous Speed as it was a nicely consistent sound for them this time around. The intro to Today I saw the Whole World was neat as well. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/hardcorepunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardcorepunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>Next P <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Pierce the Collide with the Sky. I was lucky to see them touring for this album at Riot Fest. They definitely honed their sound on this album as well as their live show! I’ma big fan of tracks like a Match Into Water, the lead single King for a Day with Kellin Quinn, and the slower hold on Till May. Overall all of it is a fun listen, dripping with catchy lyrics and crunchy sounds. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/hardcorepunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardcorepunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>In other news, the next up for P in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> is Pierce the Veil’s Selfish Machines. This album slaps front to back with Vic’s screechy vocals, to Tony’s catchy guitar melodies, to Jamie’s tight bass lines and Mike’s speedy intricacies on the drums. Their next album was the first I heard but their first two are well worth a listen to see their sound develop, further solidifying me as a fan. <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/hardcorepunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardcorepunk</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>L was short so here we are at M for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with The Ballad of Hotspur by the magnificent Molly Miller Trio! I caught them at the Jason Mraz show of which Molly also played in his backing band. She’s a phenomenal guitar player and you should check her out! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylrecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylrecords</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>jazz</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/folk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>folk</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/surfrock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>surfrock</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/guitarist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guitarist</span></a></p>
Andy D :androidHead:<p>This one is an L to me for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylalphabet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylalphabet</span></a> with (Legend of Zelda) Timeline Divergence: Ocarina of Time - Demastered. Ocarina and A Link to the Past are my favorite Zelda series titles so this was a neat pickup. It takes the music from Ocarina and reminds the sounds back to the NES times. The tracks are short at times but nostalgic nonetheless! <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/vinylrecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinylrecords</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/videogamesoundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>videogamesoundtrack</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/retrogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retrogaming</span></a> 1/2</p>
