Hi, ! What is everyone today? I'm enjoying Double-Crossing the Bridge by Sarah J. Sover and Blood Feud: Red Wings V. Colorado Avalanche by Adrian Dater.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub I just put aside the most recent King book to pick up the new Cormac McCarthy book. I haven’t actually started it yet. Been busy

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub thanks! I need to start writing though! Mostly I’ve just been messing around on the internet instead of doing anything productive

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub Reading Pratchett's Small Gods and a friend's beta read.

How's Double-Crossing the Bridge? I've seen a few interesting things about it.

@Peat
What do you think of Small Gods so far?

I'm enjoying Double-Crossing the Bridge and loved her other book, Fairy Godmurderer.
I have gotten a little distracted by Blood Feud. That whole messy feud was before my time really but I know about it. Reading the history behind it is fascinating. I don't think I would have been able to handle watching that amount of violence on ice. I'm glad I missed it, but the book is interesting.

This is probably my fifth time reading it (maybe more) and it's like sitting down at your favourite cosy restaurant.

I'll put Double-Cross on the list.

And I wander what it'd be like if I'd grown up on that era of hockey. As a latecomer used to the way rugby stamped out its casual violence, I'm really not a fan.

@Peat I love hearing about people's comfort reads!

I don't mind a hockey fight but there's a line that I really don't think should be crossed. When it goes off-ice too or becomes about more than just the heat of the game.. not my thing.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub I’m reading Terry Pratchett’s biography. When I have time for that of course. 😆

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub he is my favorite author. Last biography I enjoyed this much was Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub Currently reading The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons - it's a little more YA than I like, but good so far. Yesterday I read Red Country by Joe Abercrombie. Love his books.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub Work and #NaNoWriMo are cutting into my reading time (I know!) but currently reading Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Other Disturbances by Neil Gaiman and loving it #AmReading #Books

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub I have so many books on my TBR pile so need to pick something new or perhaps I'll pick a the Witcher series back up as I'm part way through.

@theintentionalmum
What do you think of the Witcher series? I haven't read it yet.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub I enjoyed the first two books (the prequel stories if that's the right description) but then needed a bit of a break and haven't got back into it. I'm not big into fantasy generally but they are certainly enjoyable.

@WittyAndSarcasticBookclub
I’m currently reading an ARC of the Robert Bryndza new Kate Marshall book called Devils Way. It’s excellent.
