Marcan steps away from Asahi. What a damn heartbreaking thing this is. Even if you think his approach to handling people sucks, he was willing to do some important work that nobody else was willing to touch, and his technical knowledge was unparalleled.

His work with Asahi got me excited about Linux. So what if my M1 Air can’t plug into a monitor? He got very far, only to get dragged down by non-technical drama.
Asahi isn’t dead, it will go on without him, but given that he gave that effort its accelerant it’s unfortunate he’s not involved anymore.

Asahi’s future is going to be a distributed team rather than everything going through a single focal point. Given the pressures Hector faced, that probably is a good call.
