@gbryant Regarding your comments on Affinity, @gardiner_bryant, I don't know if you tried it but it actually runs amazingly well with WINE. There are some small issues here and there but it works significantly better than any of the Adobe stuff does, GPU acceleration and the whole bit.

@ernie @gbryant I've tried it with WINE and when I launch any one of their apps I just end up with a blank gray rectangle. 😭

@gardiner_bryant @gbryant I have had good luck running it with the desktop version of Bazzite (running the WINE instance in Distrobox). I would recommend specifically following the guide if you do mess with it again.

@ernie Could you link that guide? I used a special wine version in the past but it would flicker and be generally not that great to use... And are you talking about Affinity V1 or V2?

@ernie ah, found it. Unfortunately that's the version I tried, so I am going to assume it's a problem with my machine (Nvidia, most likely)

Edit: there is a new version of the fork, didn't notice that. Will try that later :neocat_thumbsup:

@morethanplanets If it helps, I have an Intel ARC dGPU. Not exactly top of the line but runs solid. I also found putting it inside of a Distrobox container to be helpful.
