w0dzSo what is Haiku?A personal view ... There a lot of flame wars trying to scorch the border between haiku and not-haiku. Different groups claim different ...

Prompt Revolution (4) 3 Mar: mountain

Perfect cinder cone
or ridge-raised sawtooth skyline –
A new point-of-view.

@w0dz I just wanted to thank you for your explanation or reminder that haiku are not about words but images. It totally changed how I was thinking. I knew that but lost it. The idea of evoking an image without using the word for the image, and I think also expressing a felt response of some kind. So, the prompt Revolution just confused me. So I thought about places and experiences that are special to me. Came up with:

Wet sand underfoot.
Breathing in the blue beyond.
Waves crash. Heart opens.

@PBW
Ah ha - I've certainly confused you about the prompt! i meant "this is a revolution in the use of prompts", not that "revolution" was the prompt. I'll fix that.

The prompt you replied to was really "mountain".

The latest prompt is "spiral"

Have fun
😀
