My biggest wish as an #asexual person is that people understand what it is and that it exists and is valid and really not that special. We need to let go of sex myths.

I have been unaware for decades about my #asexuality because I deluded myself into heterosexuality. Which wasn't great.

The belief that everyone *needs* sex to be "normal"/"happy" is widespread but it's false. For me, it's exactly 0% true, as well as many fellow #aces.

After last night it looks like A'ja might have the greatest season of all time. Honestly having a top 5 player all time on your team is so amazing. This woman is gonna lead the Aces to like 5 or 6 championships. She's playing like her life depends on this three-peat. She's playing like a high schooler on a middle school court. She's game 6 LeBron every night. Last season was amazing as an Aces fan, but it's just getting better #WNBA #Aces

#Aphobia may come even from the #LGBTQ+ community: There's this idea that #asexual and #aromantic people do not belong to the LGBTQ+. A common excuse is we're not "oppressed enough". 🤡

Here's the thing: ALL #aces and #aros violate #heteronormativity. No matter how you twist and turn it, it's impossible to be ace/aro AND fully comply with heteronormativity.

Excluding people who violate heteronormtivity is patently absurd.

I'm aro-ace, and therefore LGBTQIA+.
