This is a direct comment to Woolz Games in Youtube playing Alien: Isolation with film grain up to the max with zero accessability features on.

I want to watch it but every time he looks at the map, or crafts something, I get a migraine as he keeps flicking back and forth so fast I can't look away...

I did comment to his second video could he please turn the features off so it would be a less of an eye r*pe.

I think there is a point of stretching too much a videogame that is meant to be a #SurvivalHorror like #AlienIsolation.

The thing is always challenge-reward and obstacle variability.

A game that repeats the same obstacles, and doesn't offer meaningful rewards, ends up exhausting AND boring.

The only way to keep it fresh is to escalate in creative ways, not just upping the numbers, and finish when you're out of ideas.

A sequel to the fantastic Alien Isolation is in the works.

I loved the original... has it really been 10yrs since it came out... fuck.

It's the first and only horror game that gave me chills.

I remember playing it one afternoon almost 10yrs ago. It got late and I was engrossed in it. It got really dark, I was home alone in a small home office in a single sized bedroom that was about 2.5 x 2.7 meters.

I had no lights on, only the illumination of my screen in a small dark room.

I heard a creaking noise from the spare bedroom, at the time it was little more than a junk room, unfurnished, no carpets, missing cupboard doors.

I froze in my chair... the hair on my neck rising as I was being stalked by an alien in the game and hiding in a locker as it paced around.

I looked nervously towards the landing and the spare bedroom door.

Slowly, I got up... crept quietly the 4 meters or so to the bedroom door, pulled it closed, switched on the landing lights and scuttled back into my office.

I saved the game, closed it... and said to myself... Yeah, that's enough for tonight. 😆
