Finding those tiny subtle shifts in temperature & tone in skin, and placing and shaping them to create the face so that it’s interesting and feels lively is so satisfying to me.

First tests on fabric. The blue fabric is just old bed linen I used before printing directly onto the tote bags. I spent quite some time searching for the right ink before buying, and I'm very disappointed with the results for now ! I have printed three different times on the tote bags and every time it looks faded, and not crisp at all. In the end I think the print on blue fabric might look the best because the fabric is very thin and soft ? Advice please ??

My first attempt at printing my linocut design on paper, before trying it on fabric (hopefully tomorrow). This is not too bad and I'm pretty happy with the details, especially the bee which I love.

Today’s process was not extremely noticeable, great or even something that made the painting very much better than it was earlier. But at least there is drama, and only more with the next layers.

Sneak peek of a drawing for a big linocut print on fabric I'm doing. After much consideration, I decided to give up on including the text (douceur pour tous-tes = sweetness for all). I wasn't sure about the result carving such fine letters, and also I thought the drawing could stand on its own !
