When I was in college, one of my friends and I briefly worked at a supermarket with a guy named Ivan Robinson. If that name sounds familiar, it should. I've heard lots of opinions over the years about how to stand when #boxing and what I'd like to understand is why a wide stance gets shit talked as a bad thing. anyone know why?

all I know is Justis Huni stands wide as fuck and he has had tremendous success, is a national heavyweight champion, and he is extraordinarily mobile, evasive, and versatile from it. so what's the basic idea that a wide stance is somehow disadvantageous?
