Malignant Plaguecaster.

I made quite a few modifications to this one; in addition to moving one arm and removing the puff of smoke, I added tentacles, fixed some of the casting issues, and made the staff more gnarly (with reference to diseased wood).

Then painted him in lighter tones, with pale green armour and bright orange rust.

Plague Marines.

This squad, from the Dark Imperium box set, was modified to make them more unique and clean up some of the casting limitations.

Some minor re-posing, carving holes deeper and more ragged, etc. plus added tentacles.

And the grass on the bases can be seen dying as they step on it.

#HobbyStreak day 666: finishing up my first unit of HH era Death Guard in prep for gloss varnish and streaking grime. Made the mistake of having one bare head, so now I'm painting eyes. It's finicky work. Gotta go to work, will finish up later.

Pro tip: let the primer set for 24 hrs or so before basecoat and streaking grime. I like the result, but the scratches visible in the third photo went down to the plastic.

Recipe: thin layers of a creamy off white airbrushed over white primer, followed by green, black, and dark bronze details. Slather in AK Streaking Grime, remove grime with white spirits and a brush or whatever.

Poxwalkers.

Two groups of 10 walkers were included in the Dark Imperium box set.
I left one set as they came and modified the 2nd set to make them all unique.

This mainly consisted of chopping off hands and arms and swapping them around, plus a few additions of putty etc.

Foetid Bloat Drone, tripod conversion.

I wanted to create a unique version of the drone model.
As Nurgle is all about 3's and I really like tripods, it was a natural thing to do.

I wasn't happy with the photos I originally took, so have just taken all new photos to see if there is an improvement.

I started building my Death Guard #HorusHeresy army tonight. Nothing fancy, just a couple of Tartaros terminators, and a Legion Praetor with combi-melta and chainfist.
I already started an Iron Warriors army last year, but I'm gonna just hold on to that for a while. Might make a smaller force just for funsies, since I already have IW bits and bodies, etc.

Damn, I miss miniature painting so much!
Three months. Three months and then I'll no longer have to take the meds that give me slight tremors in my fingers. End of May!

So here's a tiny bit of my progress from last year, when I started painting little guys (yeah, I'm still such a noob!)

Finished up Mortarion today for a client, who is thrilled with how he turned out! I'm pretty happy with him as well.

I've finished my #DeathGuard #KillTeam! They're from #Mezgike's #DredgeMarines range - all of whom look like they've been left at the bottom of the sea for an extended period.

No major changes to the miniature, but I did add some extra (epoxy putty) Nurglings to the base: It didn't make sense to me that he would be stepping on them if they weren't crowded around him.

These guys have been very slow going due to having Smokey being ill and passing away, but for days 319 to 323 I finished up the Death Guard Kill Team for the @gamersathart demo set

Might do some fine tuning on some details but otherwise I’d say the Space Marine Heroes/KT Malignant Plaguecaster is done.

A few weeks ago I found this STL for a Death Guard Dreadnought, so I printed it up to use as a Helbrute for my army, really happy with how it turned out with the retro look
