🌍🌏 White-throated dipper (Cinclus cinclus)

The white-throated dipper, also known as the European dipper, is a small, rotund, dark bird with a distinctive white throat. It's known for its habit of diving into fast-flowing streams and rivers to catch aquatic insects and small fish. The white-throated dipper is found in freshwater habitats across Europe and parts of Asia. 13 subspecies are recognised.

Conservation status: Least Concern (IUCN 3.1)
