Lemon's mama paid a rare visit to our backyard today. She was clearly planning an ambush near the bird feeder but the birds didn't fall for it. Mama is very feral and very pretty. And Lemon has already outgrown her, lol.

Update on Clive - the #FeralCat that my friend recently rescued from her rural property in Yellowpoint - Cedar/Ladysmith area.
Clive had his full vet check up & he is #FIV+. He'll require regular visits to vet to monitor his health condition & get vaccines as needed.
Clive got all his vaccines last week & is doing pretty good. He got neutered & treated for fleas & worms too. My friend has moved him from the studio outbuilding into her home. Clive is still very timid but is slowly coming around. He is a very sweet & handsome kitty cat

Update on the #FeralCat my friend rescued. She has named him, Clive. It took a few days to get him comfy enough to sleep in cardboard box inside contained small studio outbuilding. She has trapped him. He is going to the vet on Tuesday morning for full health check-up & get any necessary vaccines/treatments needed.

Starry (as in _Starry Sky_ the movie and as in a name to go with _Milky Way\ cat named after something to do with the day Mio picker her scraching biting self out of the car port...) is still sort of quarantined. It will be a month before she can be tested for Cat Aides and stuff so we can't just let her run around with Milky Way... They find ways to play through the cage and we can't bring ourselves to be too strict about contact.. Sure looks cute in her basket though..

Cats are like kids in Juliet Schor's_Born To Buy_ the drag their caregivers into obligations to go shopping and participate more in the industrial/commercial system of over consumption and dioxin-spewing waste production.. They sure are cute though, like kids, little disease vectors but you gotta love 'em...

The new one seems to be getting acclimated, used to the new set up. Some friends from the Philippines came over and pointed out the nice long hair on this one, Starry. Seems like cats like Starry are more popular in the Philippines than they are around here in Southern Kyushu.
Looks like she could use a ear-washing from Maron the Shiba Dog.. Wonder if that will ever happen like it does for Milky?
