Good morning. 🌴🌊☁️

There is a small bathroom just outside my office. When I went in this morning to check the mirror, the door began to close on its own. It stopped before fully shutting, sparing me from being trapped in the room with some mysterious and sinister entity. In reality, I suspect the explanation lies in a doorway that is slightly askew. Scenes like this are often featured in scary movies, where the human occupant trapped in the room is typically a young woman. Yet, I can't help but wonder—when I turned away from the mirror, did my reflection move with me, or did it remain frozen, silently watching as I pondered the door?

Ylvi. Mein Güldenes. Meine Golden Rocket. Mein Herz.

Ylvi. My golden one. My Golden Rocket. My heart. The photo was taken during a mini-shoot at the Camp Canis training camp in the Passentin slavic village. A real heartfelt recommendation - and I say that as a customer, not as part of the Camp Canis team. You can hardly get more time out, switch off from everyday life and spend intensive time with yourself and your dog. And everything remains cordial, open and appreciative. There's no room for elbows or laughing about others.

Yesterday, I put a cover over our pergola, and I can already tell I won’t be taking it on and off throughout the year. I plan to remove it when winter returns—or perhaps sooner if a hurricane decides to make its way here this season. I’m feeling pretty proud of myself for crossing off two items from my ever-growing 'do tomorrow' list. Spring is such a wonderful time of year and my absolute favorite—it’s not too cold, not too hot. If it were a bed, it’d be the one Baby Bear finds just right. The grass is green and thriving, butterflies flutter about, and flowers are in full bloom. 'The hills are alive with the sound of music,' 🎶 or at least they would be...if we had hills.

Yesterday, my wife finished planting her garden after working on it for a few days. It's a raised garden built atop an older, existing raised garden. The setup includes four individually enclosed areas, each with neatly planted rows, all within a raised space protected by a low, rabbit-proof wire fence. She truly outdid herself, adding gravel and paver walkways between the planting areas for an extra touch of perfection. I’m duly impressed—I could never have accomplished something like that. Her vision for this project is incredible, and it’s not something I possess. Apparently, though, I still have some usefulness, as I managed to lift and move the heavy bags of soil and gravel to the garden. Afterward, she kindly suggested I take a seat, so I shuffled off to the patio like the knuckle-dragging helper that I am.

Isn’t it fascinating how humans have a natural talent for aiming and throwing? Of course, some people are better at it than others. I can sit here at my desk and effortlessly toss a piece of paper into my wastepaper basket—and I usually make it in. Did I play basketball, you ask? Well, I did as a child, but my skills were never refined enough to leave even the smallest mark on the sport. My granddaughter, on the other hand, plays on her college team as a three-point specialist. Just think about the incredible skills that takes—gauging distance and location, then applying just the right amount of force at the perfect angle to send the ball soaring through the hoop.

“All at once, I couldn’t figure out why I was methodically tossing a spherical object through a toroidal object.” - John Green
