An image taken from orbit shows the potato-shaped satellite Phobos orbiting above Mars. The perspective shows Phobos very close to the Martian limb. Phobos appears predominantly grey, while the surface of Mars displays tones ranging from rusty red to the bluish hue of its external atmosphere layer. Craters on Mars are larger than those on Phobos.

A high resolution of Phobos, the grey potato shape satellite of Mars. Phobos is full of crater and framed over the surface of Mars which appears with cloudy craters and rusty red, but showing off some more bluish tones close to the limb.
