When I was about 13 I was in my room, burning candles and using a deck of playing cards to discern my future options. My mom came in and looked over what was happening and quietly said, "I dont think we're supposed to do that." I dont know how I knew how to do this ritual, just that it was natural to me. Fast forward to now and I am grateful to share ritual and altar with my husband and family, they add flowers and incense to the altars I begin. It's a joy to create together. #witchy 1/

Aber ein Buch aus Papier für eine echte Leserin, einen echten Leser zu signieren ist mehr als 1000 Likes. Es ist mehr wie eine Umarmung, ein #Ritual gegenseitiger Wertschätzung für eine gemeinsame Welt. Es ist ein Moment, in dem der dialogische Monismus zu sich selbst findet.

Zumindest erlebe ich das so.

"From February 28 to March 2, hundreds of #abolitionists and #anarchists from across the country converged in Gainesville for the first Florida Abolitionist Gathering (#FAG). Across a passionate weekend of #workshops, films, food, #debate, #ritual, and #protest, the contours of a robust regional #resistance movement came into focus.

"The #intergenerational, heavily #queer and #trans, and strongly multi-issue and anarchist group of abolitionists that converged in Florida articulated an expansive vision of #liberation anchored in the urgent need to dismantle the #PrisonIndustrial complex in all its manifestations. The gathering showed that even as liberals wring their hands about the death of democracy, scrappy groups of organizers continue to fight back—and sometimes win—deep within the belly of the beast."

Here's Chris Knight's key article on #ritual/speech coevolution as matrix and scaffold of #trust across #speech #communites. In 1998 he posited 130,000 years, and today it needs pushing back, coinciding with our process of speciation. At least the Chomsky crew here are conceding earlier dates for the critical transition to #language (they used to argue it was in the region 50-70,000 years wgo, which is now looking dumb).

This paper using gene sequences to track linguistic 'capacity' is from a #Chomskyite perspective (eg Tattersall among authors) pinning #language #evolution to #genetic #mutation!

But even chimps and bonobos have significant 'capacity' so the key question would be #social conditions which liberate that capacity.

We know from the #ochre record that #ritual culture had become #PanAfrican by 140,000 years ago. This date needs to catch up! They have shell beads in Morocco already.
