Alles in Butter auf'm Kutter (Entschuldigung, ich komme nochmal rein.)

Farbfotografie im Hochformat wurde entlang einer Mole im Hafen fotografiert. In der Bildmitte ist ein Fischkutter mit blauen Rumpf und Creme-weiß gestrichenen Aufbauten zu sehen, der an der Mole vertäut ist. Davor und dahinter sind weitere Schiffe zu erkennen. Fotografiert am Abend bei leicht diesigem blauen Sommerhimmel.

Beim heutigen #SchiffsSamstag zeige ich zur Abwechslung zwei meiner Fotos von einem #Raddampfer. Die FREYA wurde 1905 in den Niederlanden gebaut und fährt heute hauptsächlich im Ausflugsverkehr auf dem Nord-Ostsee-Kanal, aber auch der Kieler Förde und der Niederelbe. Fotos: Martin Marheinecke

Seitenrad-Dampfer mit weißem Rumpf, weißen Radkästen und Naturholz-Aufbauten. Im Hintergrund die St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken und verschiedene hohe Gebäude.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's the P&O cruise ship Aurora heading towards the Norwegian port of Alta, taken from our own ship, Ambassador Ambience, as we were departing the port following a 36-hour stay last month. Two old, small cruise ships passing in a stunningly beautiful part of the world.

A bitterly cold but serene scene on almost mirror-like water in a wide fjord. Pale blue sky overhead becomes a bank of billowing white cloud over the distant landscape of undulating, deep snow-covered hills. Black patches of uncovered rock and the leafless trees on the landscape give it a bristled look. Between our position on this water and the land in the distance there is a cruise ship heading to our left and positioned as we look at the scene just off to the right. She's a small cruise ship as they go these days, mostly white-hulled except for a Union Flag painted on her sharp prow. A single dark blue funnel is towards the aft of the ship with some light smoke emerging and streaming backwards. It's just possible to make out figures on the top deck and the exposed parts of the promenade deck admiring this icy landscape and possibly our own ship as we pass one another.

Auch Karsamstag ist #SchiffsSamstag. Anlässlich der religiösen Bedeutung, die Ostern für die Christen unter uns hat, gibt es heute ein echtes Kirchenschiff: Die #Flussschifferkirche in Hamburg.

Ein altes Binnenschiff mit blauem Rumpf im Hafen. Brauner Aufbau mit Rundbogenfenstern. Am Bug auf weißem Grund der Name: "Flussschifferkirche".

A vibrant and whimsical sculpture of the prow of a ship juts out from the side of a tall, light-coloured building under a bright, clear blue sky. The ship's hull is painted in bold, horizontal stripes of various colours including orange, blue, yellow, and green, giving it a playful, almost Lego-like appearance. The figurehead, a golden-yellow sculpted woman, is prominently displayed at the very front. A long, angled bowsprit extends outwards, painted in shades of yellow and blue.
Above the sculpture, the building's facade features a painted mural depicting the sails of the same ship, rendered in swirling patterns of blue and white, creating a sense of movement. Palm trees frame the left side of the image, adding a touch of tropical ambiance. The "Yeoman Bridge", a 30-something-year old bulk carrier sailing under the flag of Bahamas on the left, leaving the Elbe river at Cuxhaven (Germany) into the North Sea, and the "AIDAcara", then sailing under Italy´s flag, entering the Elbe river to sail on to Hamburg.

A view from the shore of Cuxhaven (Germany) to the estuary of the river Elbe into the North Sea. The horizon is placed in the vertical center of the picture. The sunny August sky is blue, no clouds. Two ships had met a moment ago. The 34 years old bulk carrier "Yeoman Bridge" (Bahamas) painted in a rusty-type red all over is sailing to the left (westward), the all over white painted cruising ship "AIDAcara" (Italy) is sailing to the right (eastward) up the Elbe river.

The ships are about 10 km away from the standpoint of the camera.

The picture is perfectly symmetrical; in the nearly exact center of the picture a white radar tower on the opposite shore, about 30 km away, marks this point in the picture.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's the Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Bergen harbour from a few weeks ago. This is a training sailing ship, originally built by the Germans in 1914 then taken as a prize by the British after World War I and bought by Norway shortly after. It briefly served the Germans again during World War II.

A portrait view of a three-masted sailing ship viewed from the dockside where it is located and looking at it almost directly from the front. It appears narrow and tall and almost leaning slightly to the right because we're just off the centre and the bowsprit reaches up and over us just to the right. The masts have numerous yard arms on them but all the sails are furled. It's early evening here and there are some low buildings to the right on the dock and across the water on the left more buildings of this city are seen in shadow. The sky has patchy cloud but with the sun in the process of setting somewhere hidden from view there's a fairly cool, subdued feel.

Ich vergesse leider, was ich zum #schiffssamstag #shipsaturday schon mal gepostet habe. Falls Euch eine Wiederholung auffällt, freue ich mich über einen Hinweis.

Farbfotografie im Querformat zeigt ein weißes Kreuzfahrtschiff kurz vor Sonnenuntergang auf dem Weg aus der Elbe in die Nordsee. In gleicher Richtung fährt im Vordergrund ein Lotsenboot und ein weiteres Schiff in Höhe des Hecks des Kreuzfahrers in Richtung Hamburg. Der Himmel ist dunkel bewölkt aber die tiefstehende Sonne hat eine Wolkenlücke hinter der Fotografin gefunden und lässt die beiden größeren Schiffe in warmem Licht erstrahlen. Das Lotsenboot bleibt im Schatten.

Dieses Mal mit der ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT II, kurz "Alex Zwo" genannt.

Die stählerne Bark dient als Jugend- und Ausbildungsschiff Sie ersetzte 2011 das Vorgängerschiff, die 1906 gebaute erste ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT.

Zum #SchiffsSamstag die Schonerbrigg GREIF vor der Warnemünder Ostmole. 1951 bis 1990 diente das aus Stahl gebaute Schiff der DDR als Segelschulschiff unter dem Namen WILHELM PIECK. Die GREIF gehört der Stadt Greifswald und wird zur Zeit überholt. In diesem Sommer soll sie wieder in See gehen.
