This image was another in my series of Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh-inspired pieces. At this point, I was deep into discovering who the Glasgow Four were, and realized she was married to Charles, “Rennie” Mackintosh, the famous architect and stained glass artist.

I call this one “Thorned Blooms”, and I was trying to meld the Little Red Riding Hood tale with more symbolic and abstract “mood paintings” instead of illustrative storytelling.

Another abstract/texture/pattern made from a single image that had been manipulated in various ways. I think this one has a 3D-ish feel to it. Actually, I do have the basic element image from which is pattern was made, and I'm wondering how would it play out if I was to have that image on a tile and, say, lied them up for a bathroom or a kitchen? hmm I think it'd be interesting!
