Friday night. Messing around with #Renoise. Wasn't into it tonight, but did the grind way. Didn't go in with any plan. Just make something, see where I start pushing up against knowledge gaps, then solve them. Turns out to be delaying notes to get them off grid was the one tonight. Also started messing around with built in FX and mixing workflow.

Instruments are #Vital and the rest are all samples. Unmixed. Unfinished. Just an exercise, abandoned after three hours of work, and an excuse to fuck with Dawn of the Dead.

Friday nights, I step away from #Reaper and spend a couple of hours in #Renoise. I'm spending that time as an exercise to learn the app and get reacquainted with trackers. Tonight was figuring out and getting comfortable with automating plugin parameters.

Drums are all samples. Instruments are four instance of #Vital with patches I put together for this track. This in unmixed and inherently unfinished. It is an exercise, jammed out in around three hours.

Our Portable Aircraft Rucksack for Atmospheric Sensing and In-situ Turbulence Estimation (PARASITE) is a meteorological payload we developed for multicopters - here a #dji #Mavic3E. The system measures 🌡️ #temperature, 💦 #humidity and💨 3d #wind vector over 10 times a second (>10Hz).

We applied this system during the @DeutscherWetterdienst #HErZ #VITAL campaign¹ last summer @fzj and are currently improving and validating it further.

Small #UAS (uncrewed aircraft systems) such as #multicopter​s can bridge the observation gap of high-resolution in-situ measurements in the lower atmosphere (lowest few km).

We'll present more @EuroGeosciences #EGU25 this year.
