Level A, the less dysfunctional level, is: I know what my reality is, but I will not tell. I #hide it from other people for fear of being unacceptable.

The Body: Difficulty “seeing” our appearance accurately or being aware of how our bodies are operating. E.g. anorexia, obesity.
Thinking: Difficulty knowing what our thoughts are, and if we know, not being able to share them. Also, giving skewed interpretations to incoming data.

The Body: How we look and how our bodies are operating. Also grooming, cleanliness, clothing
Thinking: How we give meaning to incoming data
Feelings: Our emotions

Just taught my 15YO a lesson about #owning versus #renting. He wanted to watch the first season of Rick & Morty. So he was going to pay on #Amazon #Prime Video to #streaming it.
Amazon will let you "buy" season 1 for $19. You don't "own" it in any sense of the word own. But if you are willing to wait, you can go on eBay and buy seasons 1-6 on DVD for $22. Then you really do OWN it. You could give them to a friend. You can rip them to your NAS and watch them as much as you want. Amazon can change their streaming technology, their business model, etc, and you'll still be able to watch the thing you "own".
By delaying a bit of instant gratification, he gets a MUCH BETTER deal.
So much time spent on want rather than seeing what we have. When we appreciate what is ours we become secure in ourselves. Then from a place of fullness we can value & respect others.

It also tells you that "live independently and don't rely on the #government" is a #lie. That's only ever expected of the #working class. The #owning class rely on government all the time.
@MicroWave let that #sink in.... #owning a house means nothing more than just #renting for a long time. Like your family doesn't end up owning that #house forever. The #government makes sure you'll run out of #money and will have to #sell it #eventually.
