@alxd i don't know what is it about it, the bland corpo language, the generic animations, the cliche startup background music, the use of buzzwords or the top-down narrative, but I hate it. Looks fake, seems fake and probably is fake.
@licho you can say the same about Global Innovation Gathering, but I don't know more Solarpunk network than them.
The videos aren't aimed at changemakers. They're aimed at grant- and corporate sponsors. Hence the language.
Look at Appropedia - it is an open source / hardware database for tech. You are encouraged to take it, make it less sanitized, make it fit your community needs.
If they can take corporate / public money and change them into open knowledge, I absolutely support it!
@alxd I've been looking at it after writing that comment and it indeed looks legit. You're probably right :) the video is off-putting though
