is there any VPS provider more chad than #Contabo ?? https://arcanechat.me VPS went down today, the VPS will simply fail to start from the Control Panel, this WAY TOO OFTEN happens during weekends or holidays, their status page says nothing about any problems or maintenance, and if you try to write to support they will tell you "sorry it is weekend, your message will not even be stored" so I guess arcanechat.me will be down the whole weekend >:-/
It took two reports to #Contabo but they managed to get their customer to remove #disinformation about me. Three pages gone, one page with my name removed.

#contabo kind of sucks. My VPS has "unplanned maintenance" lasting over 12 hours every few months.
I'll shop providers when the next OS upgrade comes.
Currently migrating my last service away from #Contabo - finally.
Their S3 storage (Object Storage) is cheap in comparison, but too unstable and slow to work as a media storage for this Mastodon instance.

Trying to understand why, with the same internet fiber line I can upload a 21GB file to my #nextcloud in just a few minutes and then the same file, when synced to my #syncthing remote device takes hours, if not days to finish. #cloudron #contabo
Nun ist es endlich so weit. Ich muss mir einen neuen Provider suchen, da mein Provider den Support für #dedizierteServer (d.h. #BareMetal) einstellt.
Wer ist der beste Anbieter für diese in #Deutschland?
Ich würde lieber auf Steintafeln schnitzen, als mich mit #Hetzner, #IONOS ( #1&1 ) auseinanderzusetzen oder darüber nachzudenken, #AWS-Preise zu zahlen. #Contabo sieht gut aus, will aber das Doppelte von dem, was ich derzeit zahle. #Hilfe!
Gibt es hier noch weitere Adminys, die #S3Storage von #Contabo verwenden?
Der Zugriff kommt mir seit Tagen sehr langsam vor, de facto unbenutzbar.

When #contabo works, that is the last few years have been pretty worryless but this month of may? 80% uptime, constant network issue at the #proxmox level,
this didn't happened with all my #contabo VPS's but, sometimes the service just sucks and the support service totally sucks, it's usually the clients fault, their status page is not transparent about what's really happening either.
in short, it's cheap but I'm not happy.
@ActionRetro Consider migrating to some #DDOs-protected #Hosting?
I.e. #Contabo does that transparently without brickibg shit like #ClownFlare...

Nachdem ich die letzten Wochen einige Provider aus verschiedenen Gründen ausprobiert und wirklich tiefergehend evaluiert habe:
Avoid #Contabo. Selbst wenn der Ping unschlagbar scheint.
Once again, #contabo is falling flat on its face...
