The glider winglets have been sanded and buffed/polished...well enough.

I did not use the polishing machine. These are small parts and somewhat fragile, so I buffed by hand.

The winglets have electrical connections (spring loaded car door jamb connectors, lol!) and a molded receptacle for these nav/position/strobe lights:

The 2nd and 3rd photos show a progression from ugly runs and drips...to a scraped surface that is almost ready for sanding.

I did my first Mouser Electronics order in quite a while. I bought some special Pots to fix and restore my original, American made Mackie 1202. It's been a back-burner project for quite some time.

I also paid my first Tariff that I'm aware of. They had a line-item for it. It wasn't a huge order and the estimated Tariff was about $2.50, but still...

FUCK THE CHEETOH.

I've been looking into tinkering with old game boys and stuff and found this: kickstarter.com/projects/jamet

Amazing, a raspberry pi zero in a GBC shell 😍

It's reportedly in fulfillment phase, and a couple days ago I read on its website (reboi.io) that additional preorders are available outside of the finished kickstarter campaign. There was no preorder link on the website then.

Today, reboi.io is giving 403.
Does anyone know what's up?

I didn’t like any of the off-the-shelf cable management boxes for standing desks because they usually are for when your desk is against a wall. So I made this box that presses into the desk with tension and hides the nasty cables! Fun hand tool project! Still needs finishing, but I like it so far! #Woodworking #handtoolsonly #diy

Defencestration.

Most of the fence posts pulled out easily, with a few exceptions. The fence itself however was ingrown like a bad toenail. I had to pull really hard and then clear a bunch of soil, roots and weeds off the bottom.

A young maple (those really like to self-seed around here) and some thorny monstrosity that had incorporated several fence links got extracted, too.

Now there's room to expand the garden with some no-dig beds :)

Decking project update

Outer frame done, joists levelled and attached, 2 corner posts fixed with new tops to replace the rotten sections. Really sturdy now and managed to reuse all the old carriage bolts which were fine, just a little surface rust.

To do: Diagonal cross beam and 2 or 3 noggins by shed to cut and fix, then figure out how to put in a step down to the new veggie growing area. Then it's boards on and paint! Should be done before end of May hopefully
