Yesterday, I had the pleasure of talking to #PhD students at the #SlovakAcademyOfSciences about #MSCA fellowships.

I only started with my fellowship on #RomaniChords in September last year, but so far, I can only recommend this experience to everyone!

The call for 2025 #MSCAPF is out. If you are a researcher with PhD (or close to finishing one) in the early stage of your career, look no further =>

On 13–14th of February 2025, I organised a #Hackathon on #RomaniChords that explored various methodological avenues for my #MSCA project’s data acquisition.

Here’s a short thread summarising what we dealt with and achieved during these days.

CCying everyone interested in #Ethnomusicology, #Musicology, #ComputationalMusicology, #MusicScience, #RomaniStudies, #RomaniMusic and alike.

Let’s jump right into it!

Marie Skłodowska-Curie was more than a scientist — she was a pioneer and an inspiration for generations of researchers, standing to this day as an emblem of excellency in research. 💡

Let's celebrate the power of curiosity and discovery!

Hi!

A friend is about to begin their MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) postdoc position in Spain,
but is very confused with the contract the university proposed (as in: pre-tax salary quite a bit smaller than expected).

Any suggestions as to where to find info about salary breakdown in Spanish universities?

Please boost to help me reach someone that has information about this 🙏

Here's another video on #RomaniChords, the topic of my #MSCA research project, which has just started...The video was presented at the #GypsyLoreSociety Annual meeting in Sofia last week.

Much like the previous video, it's based on 7 pictures [this time pictures in motion!] and is conceptualised as an introduction to the topic for anthropologists and Romani studies scholars.

Everything you wanted to know about #RomaniChords, but were afraid to ask =>

I've just published more than a 100-minute video explaining the current state of the art and the methodology for my freshly started #MSCA #RomChords project.

(a bit of a long read but in the form of a YouTube video 🙃)

Recommended especially to those interested in #Ethnomusicology, & #Musicology & #RomaniStudies

You can visit the project's website for more context => romanichords.eu/

Any experience with #MSCA (Marie Curie) EU Postdoc Fellowships?
Thinking of re-writing a proposal for a national fellowship for the upcoming MSCA round vs. applying for MSCA next year.
Applying now gives me feedback and by next year I would have worked at the host for months, which might be seen as weird (even if I’m still eligible). But proposals scoring below 70% cannot re-apply (ca. 20% of entries in 2021) - are those just bad, or is it that competitive?

Today marks 90 years since Marie Skłodowska-Curie's passing.

We dedicate this day to recall the legacy of the very first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first scientist to win it twice, and the only Nobel laureate in two different sciences!

We so deeply value her heritage that one of our most successful fellowships bears her name: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

By the way, you can still apply to our 2024 #MSCA calls!
