Encountering Mister Carcosa

Mister Carcosa, much like the Slender Man, is an emergent folklore phantasm. Supposed encounters and rumours play a part in building up the narrative structure that supports and forms the creature. Initially, the sinister figure, had no name/identification. Depending on the accounts, his appearance varies from the typical Men in Black to Tall-man ~ Slender Man physique and garments. A few accounts, report Mister Carcosa struggling to hold on to his form, and hurrying off. Sightings of large owl like creatures (similar to The Mothman) flying near where Carcosa had appeared were reported.

Be aware that in the last three days, as the full moon approaches, there have been increased sightings of The Rooted Man. This being, also known as Root Man and Mister Tendrils, is an Ectoplasmic Cryptid (emergent folklore phantasm), and feeds on emotional energies, especially those associated with dread, anxiety, and despair. Like all Ectoplasmic Cryptids, The Rooted Man is an imaginary creature that has escaped the boundaries of figments, reveries, and phantasmagorical narratives. The threat of such creatures is mostly psychological, and of a minor impact, unless the individual encountering such a manifestation suffers from severe mental or physical ailments.

The Miskatonic University is noted for its many special studies of the Antiquities and Eldritch knowledge. The University has in its archives a vast collection of photographs of their staff and students. Included in the archive are photos of student clubs and a range of funded research activities. The Andy Warhol ~ Spirit Photography Club was established after Warhol’s death, and he has remained the Guiding Spirit of the club ever since.

'The Dreams in the Dog’s Brain Trot' ~ A #Dadaist prose #CollagePoem composed using lines of #HPLovecraft’s ‘The Dreams in the Witch House’, and ‘Dog’ By #LawrenceFerlinghetti. Found between the pages of an uncertain #book in the #MiskatonicUniversity #Library ~ Lost Room Department.

Their heads were a block away, whether the dreams brought on the fever or the fever brought on the dreams. The dog trots freely in the street. Behind everything crouched the brooding, festering horror of the ancient town, and of the mouldy, unhallowed garret gable, and the things he smells. His ears were growing sensitive to a preternatural and intolerable degree to a smell something like himself.

The sinister scurrying of rats in the wormy partitions, and the creaking of hidden timbers in the dog, trots freely in the street. Cats and cigars, a sense of strident pandemonium, a sense of strident pandemonium, pasted to puddles and babies.
