Oops! The MXP01 (Italy) peer had some fuck ups, followed by some insane traffic f*ckups at 3AM & 6AM on the other instances.

Rule Nr. 1: Even changing a single character can result in f*ckups. Always test!

Had fun today trying to connect to my NAS with various working converted Linux Mint systems here.

Fortunately, I remembered how *nix terminal commands work and was able to prove to myself that it actually was not there. 😂

Discovered the problem is that I have TWO LANs and it was on the wrong one… somehow.
Tomorrow’s job. Hard wire it into the correct (mesh!) network.

What do a short-lived early 2000s teen-centric PDA, a novelty doorbell, and a privacy focused messaging app all have in common? Clearly they're all intended for very different markets.
The answer, of course, must then be universal. And that answer is network redundancy.

While we believe #Accessibility should be a key component of any project from the outset, one of the advantages of open source is that those with the knowledge are able to contribute to projects to help address shortcomings. @wireshark is "The world's most popular #network protocol analyzer", and a fellow #OpenSource project. Do we know any #A11y coders with an interest in #Networking willing to give them a hand with accessibility? See their post here: fosstodon.org/@wireshark@ioc.e #FOSS

Hello #IT. Are there any #network people who could give advice for a problem I am dealing with at work?

We do have a couple of hardware devices (switches and others) with a serial / management port. Because we are barely onsite and if so only with some inconveniences and are looking for something like a "serial port switch".

Is there a device where you can connect 16 or more devices and connect to the switch via TCP/IP? Like a KVM switch?

Thanks for any advice.
