It’s a rainy night in #Manhattan and this #car has managed to climb up a #bollard in front of the #QueensboroBridge. Hopefully everyone is OK, given the car doesn’t look too bad. If that obstruction had not been there, the car probably would have hit the light pole just out of frame, and everyone would have been much worse off. Wish everyone would slow down and pay more attention. (Earlier today someone drove by our place while playing maracas.) #nyc

I was walking across the Queensboro Bridge in June 19 (it links Manhattan to Queens in New York City). During my walk, I saw what I thought was a hawk, and took this picture with my Nikon D40 DLSR camera. Sadly, I didn't have much of a zoom lens on it.

I assumed the bird was a hawk. When I sat down to write an article about the picture the other day, I decided to double check that. Upon further inspection and research, I came to the conclusion that the bird is probably a falcon, not a hawk. Go figure. While there are some of both around NYC, there are not so many that I gave great thought to the differences between them. See my article, linked below, for a black and white version of the picture and some internal links to articles I haven't mentioned on Pixelfed.

(Good thing the pigeon in the previous photo I posted lived in Brooklyn...)
