"Hi Count, I hear today's number is 3"

"Yes zat is right Grover, 1...2...3. Ha ha ha!"

"You know what letter the number 3 begins with?"

"Erm... zis is probably not a good idea Grover!"

"That's right! The letter T... Hey what's wrong with your friend?"

All shot using real figures & miniature sets. Had this idea for a while so thought I'd turn it into a fun photo.

In 1976, Sesame Street had a segment in rotation called “Pinball Number Count.” The music is captivating, hopping between 4/4, 4/3, and 5/4 time signatures. And the animation is bursting with color and life. It has forever lived in my head.

Fun fact 1: the song counts to 12, but there were only 11 segments.

Fun fact 2: the vocals were provided by The Pointer Sisters.

I learned a bit of trivia at a party the other day that I haven't bothered to fact check, because frankly, the point isn't the trivia, it's where my brain went with it.

Apparently Big Bird was supposed to be on the Challenger shuttle's last mission, a little tidbit which immediately lead to me to re-imagine "Capricorn One" with one of the crew replaced by Big Bird. I need this movie to be made.
