"Give Me Your Secrets" by #Maxx #Stormwolf

I haven't caught anyone here up on what's been going on in my #FFXIVRP in a while, and maybe I ought to do that.

It's so much! We just wrapped up Season 1 of our Machine War saga two months ago, and we're on the second episode of Season 2 now. We've introduced #Accord, who we discovered was stuck inside of the Fruit of the Protector in the Rak'tika Greatwood since the First Machine War thousands of years ago.

In our Season 1 finale, my son--who went by #Lily but now goes by his new middle name #Maxx--transitioned and also finally graduated from the #Studium as an #Archon! He chose to have his archon tattoo placed on his right cheek, just like his favorite professor #Urianger (for those who don't know, Maxx is from the future, so the Urianger we know and love has only recently met him). Maxx lovingly calls him Prof Uri, and yes, he can speak like Urianger does, even though he only does it for the lulz.

#Noah--the heart of the primal #Metatron and Maxx's twin from his own timeline--came to ours for the final episodes of Season 1 too, and he nearly destroyed the star and claimed our #Lifestream for his own. But at the last moment, we were able to stop him with the help of #Golbez, #Zero, Urianger, and #Thancred. We kinda broke the #Ragnarok doing it. Sorry about that. But don't worry. They'll have it fixed by the time 7.1 comes out.

When Metatron died, #Joan soaked up much of his aether and became insanely overpowered. Mostly, so far, it's been little more than an annoyance. Especially since it's begun to make her and her family/friends a primary target for the Watchers, who have now arrived on the Source and are causing trouble. Right now, our biggest problem is the Watcher named #Zophiel, who seems very determined to take us out.

And while that's a lot of information, it barely scratches the surface of all that's happened. So I'll come back more often and let you all know how things are going.

Meet #Sera #Stormwolf!

#Joan's personal assistant and putative sister, Sera is an #Allagan AI nurse trapped in an Allagan ruin beneath the ruins of #Mhach for the past 5,000 years. Her full name is an acronym: SERACPDC, meaning Synthetic Empathic Reasoning Aetheroform Care Provider for Deprecated Chimera. Sera is way easier to say than all that.

Programmed to care for chimera who had either grown too mad to control or that had been replaced by better, more advanced versions of themselves, Sera ran the hospice/slash prison where she lived until the very last of her patients died comfortably with their hands in hers. After 5,000 years, feeling deeply for others, she was very lonely, so Joan rescued her server and brought her home.

Now Sera's learning for the first time how to live for herself and not just for others.

Her favorite color is brown because it's the color of earth and living things. She loves helping people, all living creatures, and babysitting Joan's twins (with whom she's grown very close), who call her "Sawa." She loves that.

When figuring this out, assume that one year of Eorzean time is equal to one year of Earth time. By this measure:

• #FFXIV 1.0 was released in Year 1570 of 6AE (Sixth Astral Era).
• The 1.0 servers shut down when Bahamut devastated #Eorzea in Year 1572 of 6AE, ending the Sixth Astral Era.

My main character, #Joan Abigail #Stormwolf was born on the 11th Sun of the Fourth Astral Moon in Year 1559 of 6AE in the city of Hemlock in the #Coerthas Western Highlands, the middle child of seven children.

My favorite alt, #Lillian Jael Stormwolf was born on the 3rd Sun of the Second Umbral Moon in Year 9 of 7AE. Because Joan was being hunted by assassins during her labor, she wound up hiding out in Troglophile's Deep, a cave deep in Labyrinthos under Old #Sharlayan, when she gave birth to Lillian.

In Year 27 of 7AE, Lillian—with help from the Great Serpent of #Ronka—traveled back in time to Year 8 of 7AE in order to prevent the catastrophe that ended all life as we know it on #Etheirys, so she was actually present at her own birth. Her reaction?

"Holy shit, I was an ugly baby!" ​

I couldn't find my original #FFXIV Then and Now picture, so it was probably left behind on my original instance. But that's OK; I made a new, updated one!

I started playing FFXIV in December 2018, back when I was presenting as a #cis man and deeply depressed about the general state of my life. My second #character (the one I stuck with) was named Jonas #Wolf, he was based on me (I went by Jack at the time), and he was a #monk that started out in the city-state of Ul'dah.

Eventually I started an IC storyline with my then-best friend and renamed my character Jonas #Cross. It was around this time that my egg cracked, and I decided to test out these new #trans waters by using a #fantasia to change into #Joan Cross. As I started to #transition, I stole Joan's name for myself and made such a complete switch that I live so fully as a woman now that most people imagine I must have been born one. Yay!

Eventually, I left the abusive relationship with my then-best friend (which my FFXIV friends helped me and supported me through. I went back to my original surname—to Joan Wolf—although this time I had an important IC reason for it (Joan's acceptance by the #Wolf totem of the W tribe). The last change is her marriage, which led her to change her surname once more, so that now she's Joan #Stormwolf. My life is really good, I'm surrounded by people who love and support me, and I couldn't be more thrilled to exist in both this world and in #Eorzea.

It's been a crazy five years. Here's to an awesome five more. ​​​

Included in the picture are #Geras and #Joan Stormwolf, the newlyweds. Joan is my main character, and Geras is played by a friend of mine. To Geras's right is Lily, his seven-year-old daughter with another woman. To Joan's left are Joan's one-year-old twins, #Noah and #LJ. LJ is attempting to stand for the first time by leaning on the back of the couch and balancing, and #Lillian (LJ from 19 years in the future) is holding her up. Noah is fixated on her big sister. Left of Lillian is #Venny, who is having a great time being a part of the family picture. And behind them all is #Sera, a 5,000-year-old Allagan AI that serves the family as their...butler, I guess?

I'm so happy about how these turned out! Kudos to Geras for chilling with me as long as he did so that I could make this happen! (My fingers hurt now from all the clicking. )

I was pretty proud of our #reception area, not gonna lie. ICly, #Joan and #Venny (#Lillian's reaper avatar) decorated it together, and Joan did most of the cooking. The room features a buffet table, a seating area, and a dance floor. There's a #matanga in corner of the room.

We're not going to discuss the matanga in the room. ​

The ceiling is made of tiles that depict the day and night skies. These symbolize a union and balance between #Light and #Darkness.

It was lovely celebrating Joan and #Geras #Stormwolf's bonding ceremony here with their family and friends.

The wedding was incredible. #Joan is over the moon and madly in love with her new husband #Geras.

Once, Joan was named Joan Wolf, and Geras was named Geras Stormdragon. Now they are Joan and Geras #Stormwolf. We're very proud of our new combined surname. ​

Also, no one told me that when you teleport using the Eternity Ring, hearts burst from your teleport! It's amazing! ​​
