Our first film is out!
Viewable on Tiverton Canal Co's website, it's a 15 minute documentary short showing a behind-the scenes look at what goes into preparing for a trip on the horse-drawn barge, how the horses are cared for, and what's special about the Grand Western Canal from the perspective of someone who's on it every day.

@swordandfiddle Great to finally be able to show some moving images from the film we made last summer celebrating 50 years of operation for the Tiverton Canal Company. Hopefully going to be able to add a couple more trailers before the full film is released on April 3rd.

Transition Together

It is all happening in Tiverton! The Transition group Sustainable Tiverton is getting ready to open their long-awaited ShareShop, already collecting donations to stock it, and is now looking for a co-ordinator to help get the project up and running.

It will be like a ‘community store cupboard’, where residents can borrow household items everyone might need once in a while at low cost. It saves each family having to buy (and store) their own, while sharing resources to reduce waste, cost and environmental impact.

In the spring, Sustainable Tiverton got the keys to their new Eco-hub, a nerve centre for their activities and a launch pad for new and exciting projects. They are also hoping to ramp up their community Tree Team with a new role to support it too.
