After doing an extremely simple post about the official @ubuntu Plucky Puffin wallpapers (must admit I thought my post title was genius) Well for me I personally picked for my own desktop this wallpaper. As an ex graphic designer this one hits better for me. (The pic ain't that great, two separate monitors, from different manufacturers, pic taken on a mid range phone for a change) #ubuntu #linux

Probabilmente le motivazioni tecniche alla base di questa scelta sono anche valide, tuttavia le nuove utilities (chiamate #uutils) avranno una licenza MIT. Contrariamente alla GPL che obbliga chiunque modifica il software a rilasciare il sorgente modificato la MIT consente a chi vuole di rendere proprietarie le versioni modificate

In other personal news, after feeling increasingly alienated by #Apple's slow & steady #enshitification, I fired up an #Ubuntu desktop using a tricked up Pi 5, just to see how viable the Linux lifestyle could be. It's been lots of highs & lows; documention is extensive, but large swathes of it is outdated, and forum support has been sadly dismissive- the answers I got were clipped & confusing. But then, so were my first questions, I suppose..
