I normally use Ivory for macOS when I'm on my laptop/desktop, but today I'm exploring #Phanpy, "a minimalistic opinionated #Mastodon web client."

I'm really digging the flexibility, focus, and flow. Tons of features + new ways of displaying / organizing your feeds, content, and notifications.

You can check out @phanpy by @cheeaun here:

3: #Phanpyphanpy.social — also works as a PWA
4: #Soapboxfe.soapbox.pub

For #Mastodon:

nemmy.appNemmyA Lemmy Client for the Web
Continued thread

Few months ago I finally managed to get a #mpd server stood up, along with a snapcast server which works just fine. It's been playing flacs off there for months now without issue.

Only client, however, is on my phone atm and I'm attempting to setup rompr as a web client, which I chose at random.

Anyone got a better #webclient suggestion? Apache is always gonna be apache. Everyone likes to do it a little different, symlink from your home dir, use the html subdir, it's aggravating as fuck.

For anyone using the native Mastodon web site/app annoyed by the HUGE boost/favourite notifications esp. when the original post contains a link card, there are two ways to get them out of your way:

1) Find the Notification settings button top-right of the notifications feed (after the '🔔 Notifications' title bar button). Toggle on the 'Show filter bar' option.

Now you have a bar across your notifications feed - pick the 2nd one, 'Mentions', for example.

Prior to 4.2 there was an option in the #webClient to limit the display size of media in feeds; this seems to have disappeared.  (I can’t remember what it was called.)

Consequently the (not new) problem of the feed jumping around when scrolling up, and making some posts difficult to reach or keep on-screen has been significantly exacerbated.

Does anyone know how to recover the display size limit, if still possible?  I don’t see anything in available documentation.
