Took a trip to the Granby Zoo today, only to realize when we got there that the zoo workers are striking and have been locked out by management since July. Our 6-year-old was (amazingly?) understanding about not crossing the picket line. We ended up having a lovely time at nearby Lac Boivin instead, seeing tons of wildlife among the autumn colors.

The Metro #Police Authority of #GeneseeCounty is looking for the driver of a dark-colored Chevrolet HHR that hit 5 people Tues on the #UAW #PicketLine outside of #GM's #Flint Processing Center in Swartz Creek, Police Chief Matthew Bade said Tues.

Officers were called to the plant on Bristol Rd ~4PM after a driver who was leaving the facility struck the 5 individuals when trying to leave & then drove off. Only minor injuries were reported at the scene.
