The H and K project is a project to build a server that can be easily hosted in the basement or in another place in the house. For the basic services set up so far, #yunohost is used with #zola, #sogo and #gotosocial. Next, a #matrix server will be installed. It is currently still unclear whether it will be a full Synapse server, or one of the smaller alternatives. It is important that all data are stored in your own house without using servers of strangers on the Internet (AKA Cloud).
Based on this judgment https://www.datenschutzticker.de/2024/03/edsb-eu-kommission-därcht-datenschutz-microsoft-365/ there will probably be some need for such solutions in the foreseeable future. Smart users have already left the "cloud" or even better never used it.

@dilmandila Our e-mail host has roundcube on it but we're always using mail clients on our computers (e.g. Thunderbird) so I don't know a lot about it. We also briefly tested #SOGo (https://www.sogo.nu) recently. It does calendars as well but I can't tell you if it's any good.

Last year it got some nasty infection on the leafs so I cut it off all after nothing seemed to work. But it is not giving up, we have several basal pups and also one new pup growing on the top, left side to the egg 
so there is hope

Technology is so (not) amazing sometimes:
I can send HTML-emails with #Thundebird with inline images from Linux without any problems, but when I attach the same image or forward the mail on with Thunderbird #Windows the images just disappear!
It's not that they're hidden, it looks like they're gone completely (I cannot see them with #SOGO on our mailserver as well).

Alright, I have a CardDav server (SOGO) that I want to export all contacts from.
SOGO itself allows export in LDIFF format - but it sucks...
Do anyone know of a good tool that can export contacts from a CardDav server in csv or vcard format?
@chrichri Yeah, #Squirrelmail is far more lightweight. #Nextcloud #Mail does need a pretty beefy server, so I wouldn't recommend it on an #RPi or similar. There was another one... #Sogo? that someone mentioned last time I was griping about the lack of decent, modern, #FOSS #webmail options. It looked OK, and had a mobile web interface.
