If you live in Georgia, check your voter registration, and then check it again before the next election. Georgia is going to purge 450 thousand voters. Many of these will be legit, having moved or lapsed, but check yours anyway.
It is not at all clear that having more choice has improved voter satisfaction. To judge by turnout it seems likely to have declined - although the turnout figures in 2023 and 2024 may well have been affected by #votersuppression !
I think I know why trump admin and RFK Jr are going after autistic people, specifically. My theory is that they associate autism spectrum with bleeding heart empaths. The end goal is to declare autism as a severe mental illness, which requires stripping autistic people of voting rights.

It’s important for these Democratic senators to hear from their constituents right now. Email your senators and tell them to protect our elections by rejecting the GOP’s voter suppression bill.”

Voter registrations among young people have halved in just a year.
With voter ID, a broken registration system, and silence from Labour, it’s clear: the system is working exactly as intended!
Read, then comment:
@indivisibleteam it’s not just married women.
How many students go off to college with their birth certificate?
How about homeless people?
How about victims of natural disasters?
How about people that are just bad at keeping track of things they almost never need?

“If the SAVE Act were enacted, this would be the first federal voter suppression bill in recent memory and possibly ever. [It] will block millions of Americans from voting."

I haven't confirmed this information, but if you are concerned about the #SaveAct, this should be fairly easy to confirm and complete.

"‘The SAVE Act isn’t about preventing fraud.’ Oregon representative gives fiery speech as House approves changes to voter registration"
“The SAVE Act isn’t about preventing fraud, it’s about preventing participation in our elections" - Rep. Maxine Dexter
The GOP - via a concerted strategy of national/State voter suppression, including concentrated efforts in swing States targeting POC and now women - have effectively hardwired the results of future Presidential elections heavily in favour of Republican candidates.
Most recently, the absurdly named "Save Act" targets 69 million women (who have changed their name by marriage) and will have to go to extensive lengths to prove their original birth name in order to vote. #VoterSuppression #USpol
Postal services in some areas of the USA are unreliable, so it makes sense to have a grace period when it comes to returning election ballots — at least, that’s been the case for a number of years in around half of the states across the political spectrum. @bolts reports on how that’s changing. “This past March alone brought news that two states … will repeal their grace periods; that conservative federal judges are on the brink of killing grace periods in two other states; and that Trump, who for years has falsely alleged rampant mail-voting fraud, wants to pressure the rest of the nation to reject every mail ballot that arrives after polls close,” writes Alex Burness.

From Democracy Docket newsletter:
In a 220-208 vote, the House of Reps voted Thursday [04/10] to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, “a major voter suppression measure that…could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters” if it next passes in the Senate, where it would “need 60 votes to overcome the expected Democratic filibuster.”
