"New Jill Swing" - appreciation for En Vogue, SWV, Tara Kemp, Ex Girlfriend, The Good Girls, Xscape et al. The music industry was less friendly to them than to Bobby Brown, Kid 'n Play, and Blackstreet.

I love the late '80s-early '90s era in R&B. So creative and fun, even while hip hop and movies were focusing on the (very real) issues of gangs, drugs, and incarceration.

We've rebranded our #podcast. It's now called I'm So Not Over It - but it remains a comedy history podcast covering the mid-70s to the present day with interview episodes, mini episodes and more mentions of Richard Branson that you'd expect.

There's a 2min trail up now if you fancy a listen!

The podcast I co-present with comedian Esyllt Sears has been nominated in the Best Comedy category at the Independent Podcast Awards.

The #Xennial Dome is on a break ahead of a rebrand/relaunch in October, but there's 2 Best Ofs on the feed right now, if you fancy checking it out.

It's a history pod covering the mid-70s to the present day. You'll be surprised how much Richard Branson crops up.

We're knocking The #Xennial Dome podcast name on the head.

Something v similar will take its place (modern history, popes, Miss Worlds, Pete Waterman etc) but without a title which scares non #Xennials away or makes people think it's "some sort of sci-fi podcast" (actual feedback from a friend, b.1981, who I suspect was getting confused with Xanadu).

We'll be back with a new thing very shortly (on the same feed) but, in the gap, some Best Ofs...

Big ol' bunch of these I've neglected to mention online in which Esyllt Sears and I cover goings-on in Octobers 2001 (Soapstars and filthy football chants⚽), 1997 (Candle In The Wind🕯️and BBC Balloons🌏), 2014 (the warmest Halloween🌡️🎃) and 2011 (Steve Jobs' will 📜 and other similarly lighthearted stuff).

This week it's 1987 in which the Great Storm arrives ⛈️ and the Loch Ness Monster doesn't🐉
