"At a time when we are constantly asked to be *against* so much, it’s crucial to remember what we are *for*.

This encouraging insight from Anand Giridharadas resonates with what I see as one of the core purposes of yoga in these turbulent times: to reconnect with our fundamental values."

Again a great blog post by Barrie Risman, her blog is very inspiring and worth following.

Almost halfway into this episode.

Among a lot of interesting things Nesrine Malik says on the present political situation, she has some very good political advice for politicians like Starmer and Timmermans, who think being centrists, or palatable to centrists, is the way forward for the left.

#HadakaShizenyoku in the #bush allows complete immersion in #Nature, #free from barriers. Walking #Naked among trees, feeling earth beneath, wind against skin, hearing birds & rustling leaves — this dissolves the perceived separation of the world. #Interconnectedness isn’t an idea but direct #experience; no boundary between #body & forest, breath & breeze. This is #awakening — realising one is not in #Nature but is #Nature, just as trees, rivers & sky are.

Walking slowly along the #bush path, each step meets the earth, neither separate nor apart. Fingers trace rough bark, pause on a leaf’s cool surface, sensing its firmness. In tactile consciousness (身識 Shinshiki), there is no ‘self’ touching, no tree being touched — only contact, only sensation. The branch yields, yet in yielding, it is not other. No boundaries exist, only the realisation of #oneness with #Nature, the deep #interconnectedness where skin, leaf, earth, & air are simply this moment.
