Today's mini collage in my sketchbook, keeping on with a daily practice. A bit smudgy as i used tissue paper I'd previously marked with soluble graphite. Does anyone else have a big pile of papers and sometimes forget what they used? I realised as soon as the glue was applied.

@tombradleyjr Another obvious example not mentioned in the article is Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey mystery 'The Five Red Herrings', one of my favourites due to the Scottish setting and the satire on the Kirkcudbright Artists' Colony.

Seeking a #Local with knowledge of #History / #Genealogy of the #Kirkcudbright area, which I believe was formerly known as #Kirkcudbrightshire
Particularly, I am interested in the prevalence of the name #Cavet / #Cavett (or alternate spellings) in the area during the late 17thC. I am trying to decide whether a hunch based upon limited data warrants full (and time-consuming) research. If anyone cares to chat, I'd much appreciate it.
