#Thailand's #mobile market is now effectively a cosy #duopoly - it's facetious of #BangkokPost to keep up the pretense of #market #competition after witnessing the #regulator and powers of the day failing to stop the True-DTAC merger. #telecoms #BigFail #journalism

#Ferry operators to #Langkawi, comprising various companies, will add value to the service, thus offering more #options to #passengers.

Apart from benefitting users, such healthy #competition will help to improve the level of service of existing ferry #operators.

In addition to ferry services, any company could also provide #WaterTaxi services to Langkawi, while the #fares are expensive but it can be done.

#SymLink: The article introduces Kubernetes Operators, which are purpose-built Controllers that extend the Kubernetes API for specific functionality, and discusses the concepts of Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and Controllers in Kubernetes. It emphasizes the flexibility and extensibility of Kubernetes as a platform. #Kubernetes #Operators #CRD #Controller #API

A nice and well-presented journey through the wold of #kubernetes #operators. From the high level to the gory details for people who want to create their own operators. And I mean it when I say gory...

For me, I now understand what advantage they give (even in cases where you do not need dozens of similar resources).

Question for anyone using #openapi-gen with the #operators-sdk! I've figured out how to generate a swagger.json for my API models, and generate the Python module. It almost works except it can't find some standard structs from k8s.io like v1.ObjectMeta. How do others add them?🤔

I agree that what we see right now is quite pitiful if we call it #intelligence.

Yet I can’t help but think it’s so far just a product development process, and find impressive the way it learns from interactions with general public #users and how much #publicity it gets as a bonus :-)

Can someone give numbers about the primary #energy demand related to such online campaigns?

I am really disappointed by #mobile #operators now.

Currently there is no "true #prepaid" available on Polish market (and probably it's a problem not only here). I mean something like "pay when you are actually out of cash on account" not these stupid offers with monthly payments, falsely advertising themselves as "prepaid"! Or more misleading "you don't have to pay monthly but we will charge you for month of inactivity" when effectively I would have to recharge account more often that I would really need.
I have an account with old rules which still works, but this way I am stuck with my old #phone #number and cannot change it for the rest of my life - or rather as long as my provider company exists in current form or until they change rules and deactivate it themselves.

I barely use phone as a phone for last few years, I have Signal to talk with closest people and many various internet chats for contact with my friends circles. My mobile internet is separate from phone account, different company.
Now phone is for me almost receive-only device (and this is 98% for formal things) and plan B for few times a year. I really don't need to pay every month for this!
Techically I could use my internet card number to receive if I would lose my phone account - even for calling, if it is about twice a year it wouldn't hurt me. It rather make me angry that maybe I cannot change phone number ever.

I am more and more tired of modern service providers.
